Description
The city can feel crowded, but your mind doesn't have to be! Join myself and Mappy Hour DC's very own Alex Snider at Temperance Alley Garden on Sunday, 6/26, to practice mindfulness.
When he's not a government enthusiast, Alex Snider is a meditation teacher in DC. Mindfulness has been transformative for him, helping him respond more wisely to the joys, uncertainties, and difficulties of life and show up in a more compassionate and kind way for himself and others.
Since 2018 Alex has been a member of the Insight Meditation Community of Washington, is trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and is pursuing a certification in Mindful Facilitation at UCLA's Mindful Awareness Research Center.
Alex is passionate about one-on-one coaching with a mindfulness lens, integrating mindfulness into organizations (#mindfulgovernment?), and offering meditations around the DMV! He finds mindfulness in the kitchen, running trails, nature, and with his (often) well behaved rescue pup, Walnut.
Please remember to bring whatever you need to feel comfortable for a morning outdoors -- appropriate clothing and layers, water, snacks, etc.
There are seats in the Garden, but consider bringing a blanket, cushion, or sit pad to be seated on.
