Sage has an interesting set of skills that he's harnessed over the years from various professions, jobs, and experiences.
He is an Army veteran, a licensed massage therapist in DC and has been practicing for more than 2 decades, and has taught massage for 6 years. He's been practicing Nature & Forest Therapy for 5 years.
Sage’s outdoor experience expands from being a veteran in the Army, to being a bike messenger in the mid to late 90's, to being an Outdoor Instructor/Experience Guide with REI’s Outdoor School, an alumni of NOLS & Outward Bound, and is a guide for Nature and Forest Therapy.
Sage has led nature therapy walks, or forest bathing walks, for the general public at the National Arboretum and Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. Sage also leads walks with Nature Worx, a non-profit located by the Upper Chesapeake Bay. Nature Worx leads walks for the general public, and with business and local universities. Nature Worx also specifically provides walks with veterans, facilities for folks in recovery from substance abuse, and for women and children in transitional housing.
