Join Upshift Workshop and Arc’teryx DC for an evening of skill sharing, storytelling, and bicycle love!

This winter bicycle clinic is open to all current or curious cyclists. We will chat about everyday bike maintenance (beginning with a bike anatomy lesson, moving onto preventative care and how to fix a flat tire!), as well as tips for winter bike gear and building a blizzard-proof wardrobe. There will be an engaging space for learning, trying new skills, as well sharing your own experience with cold-weather biking.

But that's not all! Attendees can sign up for early access to a limited event that'll be going down on 2/14 Valentine's Day (or as we like to call it, Bikelove day) featuring in-store bicycle repair hours with Leah for up to 6 bikes, or drop-off bike service for same-day turnaround.

If you're feeling up for a little extra adventure, Mappy Hour members are invited to meet up at DuPont Circle (specific location TBD) with their bikes so that we can take a mini group ride down to the Arc'teryx store and show up with some #Bikelove spirit!

Meeting time will at 6:00pm, roll out at 6:30 sharp! Bring your lights, helmet, and your best city riding skills.

Upshift Workshop is a pedal-powered bicycle project by Leah Fantle, a certified bike mechanic and educator who has been a year-round bike commuter and adventurer since 2012. Leah’s fire is sparked by all things bicycle transportation, from daily commutes to bikepacking expeditions. She has worked with bicycles in DC for 8 years, and has had the chance to travel with her bike across the region, the country, and the world.
