Saturday, July 15, 2023From 9:30 am to 2:30 pmDescription
Mappy Hour and Outdoor Afro are teaming up to create a summer schedule of public transit accessible hikes for outdoorsy New Yorkers who want a little bit more nature in their lives.
For our July installment, we're heading to the Old Croton Aqueduct where we'll do station to station hike. This 9 mile hike is part outdoor excursion and part exploration as the trail connects historic sites, crosses over a steel bridge, and meanders through a cemetery.
Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. This hike is a perfect way to get out of the city for a day with new adventure friends. This hike is a 4 out of 10 and is beginner friendly.
Public Transit
We'll be taking Metro-North from Grand Central. Hop on the 8:45AM train to Tarrytown (Hudson Line).
Meeting Spot: Tarrytown Train Station
Note: We'll finish at the Ossining station and take the train back from there.
