Head down to the South Shore Nature Sanctuary with us for a guided Forest Bathing hike.
Led by a certified Forest Bathing facilitator, Jessica Rodriguez of Reciprocal Forest Bathing, you'll engage in nature mindfulness through the practice of Forest Bathing.
Event Itinerary
- 9:00 am – Meet at Arc'teryx Bucktown for free shuttle to South Shore Nature Sanctuary (if needed)
- 10:00 am – Arrive at South Shore Nature Sanctuary
- 10:15 - 11:15 am – Guided Forest Bathing experience
- 11:30 am – Snacks and hanging out with fellow Mappy Hour members
- 11:45 am – Shuttle departs for Arc'teryx Bucktown drop-off
- Noon – Event ends
Transportation
Transportation will be provided free to and from Arc'teryx Bucktown store to the South Shore Nature Sanctuary on the day of the event. Meet at 9:00am to catch the free carpool ride to the event.
You can also drive or bike yourself and meet the group at the sanctuary.

What is Forest Bathing?
Forest Bathing or shinrin-yoku is a physiological and psychological exercise that started in Japan in the 1980s aiming to "offer an eco-antidote to tech-boom burnout and to inspire residents to reconnect with and protect the country’s forests." via NatGeo.
